There are so many great children books out there. Most of which have been around forever. These are the books that were read to us as a kid. These are great books but there are more and more amazing children’s books available. Below is a list of my favorite books to read to my. Many of which I read while pregnant. They have positive messages about the earth and each other and beautiful illustrations. I highly recommend these books
All I see is a Part of Me written by Chara M Curtis Illustrated by Cynthia Aldrich
“Sister Star , how can it be
That I am you and you are me?”
She glowed, “You’re larger then you know,
You are everyplace you go.
You have a body this is true…
But look at what’s inside of you!”
The Tree written by Dana Lyons Illustrated by David Danioth
“Who will house the owl?
And who will hold the rivers shore?
And who will take refuge in my shadow,
If my shadow falls no more?”
A Mother’s Promise written by Lisa Humphery Illustrated by David Danioth
“When you are born…
I promise to help you remember
All that you have forgotten.”
On the Night You Were Born Nancy Tillman
“When the polar bears heard,
They danced until dawn.”
Wherever You Are my love will find you Nancy Tillman
“…just lift up yoru face, feel the wind in your hair.
That’s me, my sweet baby, my love is right there.”
And a classic that is still my favorite...
The Giving Tree Shel Silverstein
“…and the tree was happy”
